Contemporary sofas, chairs with classic roots

RH-306, the iconic sofa designed by Robert Haussmann and inspired by the stylish 17th century Chesterfield sofa. The design is trademarked by striking contrasts such as delicate legs on a large cubic body of leather, coming together with framed rounded corners. The deep seat cushioning and button-tufted detailing pay homage to the original design.

Casali sofa from Taylor

“Essence of Elegance” is a collection of architecturally inspired, moderately scaled upholstery silhouettes from Taylor King.  The collection is represented with the Casali sofa. The vendor states, "the extreme front-to-back convergence of the graceful arms, adorned with pewter nails, allow this sofa to make a style statement when shown as a pair in a room. An ultra femme feeling is created by the use of lush, graphic beautifully appointed textiles."

“Urban Archeology,” an urban mystique that focuses on a casual approach to elemental beauty, is featured with the Smythson sofa. Intricate American craftsmanship is featured with the sophistication of the diamond tufted treatment on the outsides of the sofa.

Contempoary-style sofa from Denmark

The Giga sofa from Nils Juul Eilersen, Denmark, is made with the company's well-known down material which molds itself to one's body but springs back again as soon as it's patted a few times. The fabric is fitted loosely and roughly to give it a slightly more relaxed feeling. The removable backs are solid molded foam and are also angled so that they curve and give extra support. The combination of the low foam back and the soft, 50cm high, down pillow gives it perfect support and comfort. The company says the "mega-sized sofa-playground with cushions floats on 14cm round steel legs."
